Then this morning I did an X-ray inspection ... my shoulder is healing, new control in 3 weeks, in the meantime I'll rest a little longer in my house, that makes me so well ...
To celebrate, I bought a ticket for the concert by Bob Dylan and Mark Knopfler that there will be here in Florence on Friday....tonight I will be a tasting of new wine ....
Moreover, it seems that the Berlusconi government is about to fall ... and this also makes me very well!
There it was a beautiful sunny day in Florence, and the temperature was 25 °
All in all, today was a good day...

Tortellini soup with Parmesan cheese flakes, boiled beef, chicken and tongue in homemade green sauce and mayonnaise, potato salad with garlic and parsley sauce, berry pie, a bottle of Santa Cristina 2009 .... . I do not understand those who, when they are alone at home, eat frozen food heated in the microwave ....

Let me turn things for the better then: I'll have my surgery within 6 hours. Finally getting rid of the tumor, and being able to run and jump again. Without any pain.

Still alive after the surgery. Maybe I'm rid of that tumor for good.

Today I felt like a historian. :o Had to obtain some mathematics journal article from the 1970s, in French  , which I couldn't find anywhere online. In the end, they had it in the depot of our institute's library... I guess I must have been one of the first in a very long time to make use of that journal article. :D

True. One of my two favourite drinks. The other is beer. But tea is probably #1 because I can drink it all day without getting drunk.

Damnit hell bloody focking crap of an ass...

I just accidentally listened to Warriors of the World. And now I'm sick.
It was on my "yeepee !" playlist, the one i throw when i feel like dancing and jumping happily ever after.
Well, it certainly worked. A bit too well. And now i'm sick.

I got MANOWAROSIS. And it's not going away. AGAIN.

Deary deary me.

Rapalje heerscht like hell!!!

After a powerfailure in the entire park where they were playing last saturday they decided to just continue playing unplugged
first link is the song where the power outage starts, second link are two songs they decided to play unplugged...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bo1eZI9EB9c&hd=1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqfJtf0r9Rc&hd=1

I had the worst case of goosebumps when they played Loch Lomond and the entire crowd sang along...

Apparently, I'm so good at translating french into english, I've just become the un-official translator of a luxury kidsclothes line as well as a 4 stars hotel in the Alps.

My ego is exploding right now, but it's a bloody torture to translate the menus of said hotel's restaurant when all i have in the fridge is a couple of plain yoghurts...

Decided to re-add the Skyclad lyric in my signature again, which I used in my signature at various times in the period 2001-2005. It seems ever so fitting now.

Nah, I just had a tumor removed from my shin bone. The wound of the surgery got infected two times in a row now, so they accellerated the process a bit by squeezing out the swelling. Blood and pus, in a crust of dry blood. Had to be crushed, I think they must have heard me in Arnhem.

But the relief is epic :)

That weird feeling when you look at your ICQ-list and remember that you wanted to add someone and start wondering who it was just to realize that it was that Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad of whom you apparently dreamt last night. :|

trying to analyze a verse of early 16th century epic italian poetry for usage in translation theory... difficult, but still damn awesome to do
