I like the acoustic best. Wish it was the version that was on the album.

Acoustic, also because the piano version is not really "just" piano... at this point they could have kept the acoustic version on the album but it's understandable that, since there was already Curse My Name, they didn't want TWO acoustic medievalish ballads.
"There's a time when a man needs to fight and a time when he needs to accept that his destiny's lost, the ship has sailed and that only a fool will continue. The truth is I've always been a fool"

A slight call afar is tempting me, like a whisper sweet or an awful scream; I cannot ignore what I've always been, I'm leaving again - one last time? in my little kingdom I can be what I really wanted to be... The wanderer

Piano version for me, I find the intro piano to awesome to not clench the win here. The acoustic is very good, but War of the Thrones has to be one of my favourite songs off the entire album

Acoustic, because the sound is better and they took off my favorite part in the piano version "I will not fail, I will not loose faith" I don't know what for
All those plans and hopes and dreams what happens to them? it's only a handfull of the lucky ones who can look back and say that they even came close.
You can't take it with you. act III,scene I

I did not notice that.
I'm going to have to go listen to both versions back to back now.

They sure did leave that part out. :o I wonder why?

Acoustic, both because the piano version isn't a 100% piano song, and because it sounds more like they wanted to do a fullblown epic orchestral ballad, but decided to not go all the way halfway through..

Piano-version for me. The acoustic song is great too, but BG already has a lot of those. They do have some piano-stuff, but not as much, so it's the version I prefer.

The piano version sounds cold and bleak, which fits A Song Of Ice And Fire more, in my opinion.

The piano version is the better one. I prefer those melodies and, as the poster above said, it suits the theme and lyrics better, making it a better whole.

Piano version for me. The addition of the piano parts have enriched the song to a new level and it is one of the best interpretations ever made by the band.
