CRY FOR TANELORN

#1 Post by arenamaster » 26 Jul 2010 07:17

CRY FOR TANELORN

DOWN

INTO THE VOID
Each step I take,
May it hurt may it ache
Leads me further
Away from the past!
But as long as I breathe,
Each smile in my bleak face,
I'm on my way to find
Back to the peace of mind!

I think that Cry for Tanelorn is already my favorite song! (from the 3 released + single)
Intro and solo are just amazing and I don't really need to talk about Hansi and his voice.

We seriously need the lyrics for this. Anyone can gief? But we could start writing the lyrics through hearing as well. To say the truth I can't understand a lot of it :(.
Now I'm riding through the air
Going to where no one dares
On the way I cross the line forevermore.
For once in life, I do not care
Nothing matters, now I dare
On the ride I'll cross the line
Forever to be free

I'm at a serious loss for words to describe how awesome this song is.

I finally gave in. I could have held off on a leak, but they put the songs in front of me and I could not resist, the bastards. And the worst part is they made me love it. It's like having an orgasm while being raped. This song is so fucking brilliant, it only takes one listen to convince me of that. Those people calling it boring and uninspired are nuts. I stopped breathing multiple times and lay gibbering at the end. So. Fucking. Good. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to find my skin. It crawled off somewhere in the middle of the song...

My point was that I got an amazing feeling while something I didn't want to happen was happening.

I vastly preferred the version of the solo that we heard in the preview video to what ended up being in the song. The one in the song sounded... weird. Synthetic almost. I dunno.

Really? I thought it was pretty awesome, personally.

Amen. Exactly my thoughts - 15 years ago the people complaining today would have crawled in the dust before Blind Guardian after hearing that one. It's just got everything - some serious asskicking riffs, awesome melodies, straightforward Speed-riffing, Hansi sounding like a fury again, a massive solo (finally some guitar-wanking again - the solos in on the past albums were awesome but Metal needs some speedy tapping  ) - IMO it puts even "A voice in the dark" to shame with a better flow and greater solo-sections. And with Into the void!

Tanelorn is a fricking epic song!
