12:!7? ah, so Sacred Worlds is the extended version of the original Sacred that will be on the album, and as a bonus, we get an extended version of the extended version, how cool :P

I think that BG should have a cake server (German: Tortenheber) in the special edition. ;-)

ATITM has a dragon in the middle and this new one has a dragon in the middle :?
and there is not even an album or two between them...

I like the cover, but I think they should definitely use a different artist next time. Someone similar to Marschall, who uses paint.
I can't think of anything clever to put here.

The twist dragon was cool.. This one is somewhat.. twodimensional :S If it wasn't for that, the cover would actually be quite cool...

Not a fan of the cover, it looks almost exactly like all the other covers that guy has done. Nothing wrong with a personal touch, but that's just overdoing it. That said, can't wait for the album to come out.
So it goes.

They should get Ursula Vernon to paint their next cover ;)
http://www.gedichtblog.de
They say that there's a broken light for every heart on Broadway.
They say that life's a game, then they take the board away.
They give you masks and costumes and an outline of the story
Then leave you all to improvise their vicious cabaret...

Still the goddamn Batman.

I can only repeat myself, they should get Christian "Necrolord" Wåhlin. Best man there is.

He'd have to come up with something different than what he offers on his homepage though since that, unlike the actual BG covers, are very different from the BG feel. I'm sure most artists can work with a specific commission though and I think we are getting what BG wants to have.

The album cover looks very nice. For some reason its reminding me an awful lot of Iron Maiden's Powerslave cover, because I can see abit of that in this.

Compositionally, the new cover is extremely similar to that of Imaginations from the Other Side. If you understand the 'pyramid' as the 'mirror' (and as both have been described as devices or places which link worlds or merge timelines, the analogy is quite appropriate), the dragon and the two figures on either side fall right into place.
I'm lost in the depths of his eyes
I can't flee
Inner pain caused insanity
It's deep within
The fear and the hunger
Enslaved and denied
By my love and my enemies
I'm the ill-gotten son

I watched Ghost Busters the other night, and the top of the building when Zuul arrives looks very much like the album cover art! Maybe the Bards/Artist likes Ghost Busters! If so, they can watch out as they will be doing a third film some time soon, Yaaaaaaay!

So my copy of the Pyramid arrived yesterday...

BROKEN

One of the wings of the dragon had broken off in-transit which I am incredibly pissed off about

Anyway, as far as the pyramid itself goes for anyone who is interested.

Comes in a large box. The pyramid is hollow inside and the top lifts off a base.

Inside is the two cd version of the album, a certificate of authenticity about the size of a cd booklet, a bag of very cool looking Blind Guardian coins, and a bunch of metal axes.

The metal axes are - 1 for each of the two guardians on the pyramid, a pair of crossed axes that go on the back of the pyramid (opposite side to the dragon), and then four axes that slot through the corners of the pyramid base. These go through holes in the pyramid, through the base, then out the other side, holding the base in place.

All up - it looks great, but obviously I'm pissed that the dragon was broken. It *is* VERY fragile and I reckon it would get damaged in transit more often than not
