Why? It's done.

Did you read the letter?? There is a gap in the narrative between Wizard and Glass and Wolves In The Calla. Hes just filling in that gap!! This book is Dark Tower 4.5

Either that or "I'm out of ideas for new books."

I was worried when I first heard about it that is was going to be something off the wall crazy. But there is a gap between those 2 books and I hope whats inside that gap is amazing!! I just started reading The Dome and Im about 65 pages in and its fantastic!! I also have a copy of Full Dark No Stars, which is his new short story book, that I cant wait to start! I also got a copy of Joe Hill's (Stephen Kings son) Heart Shaped Box which won a couple of awards and I was told that hes just as good, if not better, than his father.

The new DT book will be better than the most recent ones (everything after IV) simply because SK is writing better now than he was then. The magic, which once flowed so freely from his drug-addled mind and fingers, had mostly drained away after the accident. But recent novels show a definite spark of the old magic has taken up residence again--not as it was before, no, but a shadow of literary magic is still better than the possession of none at all.
