Re: Ignorant perspectives you've heard others say about metal.

Another one I have noticed: Some bands use lyrics or similar themes to conjure a theme of questioning religion and when it has been used for a destructive purpose. Most people automatically assume that certain bands are for those reasons alone pure atheists/against religion. As a Christian in metal ...

Ignorant perspectives you've heard others say about metal.

"This is what metal should sound like...". The guy plays an All That Remains song. I later told him that Dio was the better singer than Ozzy just to see his reaction. Yep, typical American Nu-Metal redneck reaction. I later asked him if he liked Nile and he told me "they suck, but their drummer is a...

"Jotun"......

Okay, I am sitting here listening to Pandora and In Flame's "Jotun" came on. I am sad. So so sad that this promising band completely derailed themselves after so many excellent albums. Now I know how the typical "their earlier albums were better" argument goes, but this folks...is just depressing. T...

Not sure to be honest.

I would hereby like to add Raventhrone to the list.

Edgar Allan Poe's random and unknown writings.
The man's a genius...of course, however it isn't until you look past his "horror" stigma that you understand how truly great of a composer he was.

The level of fame does not show the level of creativity, quality, or whatever naming factor I can throw in there. All bands start out on some demo level, unfortunately MySpace has given more kids these days a chance to make and play metal. The first step towards this has gone from demo tapes to burn...

Fantasy has lost it's maturity.

Remember everything from Highlander, Willow, the time the Super Star Destroyer collided into the side of the second Death Star due to one suicidal A-Wing pilot? I miss the gritty realism behind fantasy. It seems to me these days they have become rather whores for the amount of digital effects one ca...

I'd dress like a Spanish Fencer and while I moving around the room I would stab at your toes to render you incapable of movement.

Best PC RPG games.

Recommend me something to look into possibly buying. I grow tired of the rhetorical titles that come out these days which seem to cater to either the HALO or the World of Warcraft crowd. I miss good storylines being the centerpiece of a game. I have heard great things about the Fallout series, thoug...
